Good questions

FAQ

What exactly is in the treats?

Three ingredients: beef kidney, carrot, and beef broth. All human-grade, all recognizable, nothing else — no fillers, no preservatives, no artificial anything.

How do I serve Honest Hound Kitchen treats?

It's easy! Simply remove the lid and let your pup enjoy the treat straight from the cup while it's still frozen. As with any treat, we recommend supervising your dog while they enjoy it. Once they've finished, discard the empty cup to prevent chewing or swallowing the packaging.

Should I thaw them first?

No — our treats are meant to be enjoyed frozen. Keep them in your freezer until you're ready to serve. Cups are best within 90 days of their manufacturing date (printed on the cup).

Are these a meal replacement?

No. Honest Hound Kitchen treats are intended as an occasional treat or enrichment activity and should not replace your dog's regular balanced diet.

Can puppies eat them?

Yes! Puppies can enjoy HHK treats once they're eating solid foods. As with any treat, supervise them while they eat.

My dog has allergies. Are these okay?

Please review the ingredient list carefully — there are only three ingredients: beef kidney, carrot, and beef broth. If your dog has food allergies or a medical condition, consult your veterinarian before introducing any new treats.

Are you licensed?

Yes! Honest Hound Kitchen is licensed through the California Department of Public Health, and every batch is prepared in a licensed commercial kitchen.

How much do they cost?

$4.50 a cup, or 5 for $20. Prices at our retail partners can vary a little from shop to shop.

Where can I buy a cup?

At our retail partners around the Morongo Basin — see Where to Find Us. Small batches sell out, so calling ahead never hurts.

Do you ship?

No — everything stays frozen and local. For big orders (50+ cups) we offer pre-orders with free delivery across Yucca Valley, Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree, Landers, and Morongo Valley.

Can my shop, brewery, or café carry Honest Hound Kitchen?

We'd love that. Our cups are grab-and-serve with minimal prep and storage — a natural fit for dog-friendly patios, groomers, and boutiques. Head to the wholesale section and tell us about your spot.

Could I eat one?

We admire the curiosity — everything inside is human-grade — but the recipe is formulated for dogs. Save your appetite and let your pup have this one.
