Honest Hound Kitchen began with two very special taste testers — Rig, my Blue Heeler, and Lincoln, my Australian Shepherd.
Living in the desert, I wanted a fun way to help them cool off after long days of playing while also giving them a healthy enrichment activity. I started making simple frozen treats using ingredients I would feel good about feeding the two dogs I love most. They quickly became a favorite — not just on hot summer days, but all year long.
Like many pet owners, I was frustrated by how many treats on store shelves were filled with preservatives, artificial ingredients, and unnecessary fillers. I wanted something different: simple, wholesome treats made with real, human-grade ingredients that I could recognize and trust.
Over the years, I experimented with different recipes, always keeping one goal in mind — to create a treat that was both nutritious and something my boys genuinely got excited about. The recipe we use today became the clear winner in our house, and it's the one I'm proud to share with yours.
Every Honest Hound Kitchen treat is made with the same philosophy that started it all: simple ingredients, made with care, because our dogs deserve the very best.
Rig and Lincoln inspired this journey, and every cup we make is a reminder that the best things often begin with love.

Every Honest Hound Kitchen treat is personally prepared by me in a licensed commercial kitchen in Palm Springs, California. From sourcing ingredients to preparing each batch, quality and safety are always my top priorities.
My goal has always been simple: create wholesome frozen treats made with real, human-grade ingredients that dogs love and pawrents can feel good about serving.
